Privacy Policy

cstrade121 ("we," "us," "the Platform") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

cstrade121 is a client-side discovery platform. We do not run our own servers for user data. Most data described here is stored locally in your browser.

1. Data We Collect

Steam Login (OpenID)

When you sign in via Steam, we receive your public Steam ID from Steam's OpenID service. We use this to:

• Identify you during your session
• Optionally fetch your public Steam display name and avatar

Your Steam ID and session data are stored only in your browser's localStorage. We do not transmit or store this data on any server.

Trader Applications

When you submit a trader application, we collect:

• Display name and email address
• Steam profile URL and trade URL
• A brief description of your trading experience

This data is submitted to Formspree (a third-party form service) and sent to our email inbox for review. See Formspree's privacy policy for how they handle submissions.

Browser Storage

We store the following in your browser's localStorage:

• ft_session — your Steam session (name, Steam ID, avatar URL)
• ft_application — a local copy of your trader application if submitted

This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly submit a form.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To display your name and avatar in the navigation when signed in
• To personalise the application form with your Steam details
• To review trader applications sent to our inbox
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties beyond what is described here

3. Third-Party Services

• Steam / Valve — Authentication via Steam OpenID. Governed by Steam's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may collect usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Formspree — Used for form submissions. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.

4. Your Rights

Since all session data is stored in your own browser, you have full control:

• Delete your session — click "Sign Out" on any page, or clear your browser's localStorage.
• Request data deletion — email hello@cstrade121.gg and we will delete any application data we hold for you.
• Opt out of Google Fonts — use a browser extension to block fonts.googleapis.com.

5. Data Security

cstrade121 is a static site with no backend database. Your personal data is not stored on our servers. Application submissions are transmitted via HTTPS to Formspree's encrypted endpoint.

Cookie Policy

cstrade121 does not use cookies. We use the browser's localStorage API to maintain your session, which does not involve HTTP cookies and is not accessible by external domains.

What we store in localStorage

• ft_session — set when you sign in via Steam; removed when you sign out
• ft_application — set if you submit a trader application

Third-party cookies

Google Fonts may set cookies when loading fonts from their CDN. You can prevent this by blocking the Google Fonts CDN in your browser settings.

How to clear stored data

Open your browser's DevTools → Application → Local Storage → delete entries starting with ft_. Alternatively, clicking "Sign Out" removes the session entry automatically.
